Title: What was the mystery white bat?

ginger asked the Naked Scientists:
   i live in MA and last night around the time bats fly their was an animal almost bat like but with the wings of a large butterfly and it was white i dont think their are white bats here what could it be. It flew like a bat but had a beautiful tale that looked like a large butterfly
