Need help. Teacher asked us to restate the law of conservation of energy in our own words. I just know the textbook definition. Need answer by Wednesday- Jan 19th 7:00 Eastern time

No offense but, "your own words" does not mean "the words of someone else on the internet."  The point of that sort of assignment is to see if you understand what the textbook definition means.

Now if you have actual questions about things that confuse you about conservation of energy, specific questions, I think there are a lot of people here who would be willing to answer them, with the goal of helping you learn.

Hint: Read up on the second law of thermodynamics (if Wikipedia is still on the air)
