It was a nice read and seems logical, although, where does it stop :)
I'm not sure anything gets 'simpler' when finding a 'covering theory'. In some ways it seems so, as we find new 'principles' as symmetry and equivalence, but? We also find more 'things' for a better word, as well as we draw new borders defining where our concepts ends.

But one thing I was very pleased to see was that he clearly recognized the added complication by introducing the macroscopic definition of the observer (and his arrow of time) in the conclusions one might draw from a experiment of the microscopic. It's a layered definition.
