People just love to do things with their hands..

....even the use of the virtual bubble wrap where the mouse becomes a proxy hand !..

......I even have it on my PDA and so the stylus is used....plus...there's just something comforting about the sound of the ' pop '.....that tiny release of air as the bubble is deflated  actually ' feels ' good....

....it's an emotional release...and if you have ' hands on ' experience it's also a tactile one.

..It's therapeutic because it has a calming effect...it's mundane and settling for the soul.....does not take great brainpower and so anyone can do it and is therefore relaxing...

.....frustration is borne from the stubborn bubble that will not pop !!

...it's fun !!!

Thanks for the link !!!....I'm well chilled now !!

Could it be the vestige of a primal instinct to remove nutritious seeds from their non-nutritious pods ?.

They should fill bubblewrap with Helium, the postage would be cheaper [:)].

But would the cost of the helium outweigh the saving in postage ?

has anyone ever seen the episode of red-dwarf where (in the future) they actually have sheets of bubble wrap in their first aid kit for emergency situations requiring instant stress releif.  they have a fancy name and everything, but all it is is a red sheet of bubble wrap with a first aid symbol (cross) on it.  the main character realizes how simple it is and how easy it would have been to invent and tries going back in time to invent it.  of course all of your normal problems that happen when someone on TV or teh movies goes back in time to change the past..... quite cliche, but still funny.

i loved that show.  haven't seen it for years though.

Are YOUR mice nude? [;)]

Wicked program. I never knew they showed that in the USA. I remember a long time ago during series one wondering why they called it red dwarf.[:)]

UKTV gold has just shown most of them.
