Title: is cocoa gluten free?
Post by: annie123 on 29/11/2012 22:07:04
I bought some fair trade cocoa and wanted to give it to a gluten intolerant person but am not sure if it is gluten free. I wrote to the company and they didn't know either. It is from Sol Colibri - certified organic cocoa.  I wrote to the celiac diet site and had no reply.Any ideas?
Thanks

I wouldn't worry too much if there is no labelling indicating the gluten free status. Most coeliacs can tolerate a small amount of gluten on occasions. Even gluten free flour is not entirely gluten free but produced to a standard where the amount is extremely low.
