Title: Question: Does our huge galaxy have any effect on our time?
Post by: InfiniteMind on 18/10/2013 16:17:17
So, here's the thing, huge masses slowdown the time around them. Does our galaxy, being so big, have any effect on the time rate we experience on the earth? How do we know that our time is not dilated? Anyone?

Our clocks employ crystals and pendulums, etc, and they depend on the inertia and other properties of the crystal, pendulum etc for regulating the escapements. Inertia is caused by the stars being there. Why do I say this? Think of Newton's bucket. Look it up?
