Title: cunning linguist required
Post by: ROBERT on 08/08/2006 15:59:04
Its been very hot here in the UK.
Thirsty, I bought this bottle of cola from a street vendor.
I had drunk the contents before I noticed the (Georgian?) text.

Can anyone tell me where this bottle came from ?.
(The only english text on the lable is "Coca-Cola Light").

Well it's not Hebrew.

I think it's Saturnian and if I understand it correctly it reads:

" If found to be defective please return to Titan...3rd moon from the right..this does not affect your statutory rights "

Robert,

To me it is from the indian sub-continent. There are many languages there and a lot of alphabets, but I am no lingust, much less cunning.

This is the Georgian alphabet:

It looks like it is a close match.

Don't ask me to translate.

The easy bit is the two characters after the number 500, which are the characters 'ml' - for millilitres.
