Title: Why does grass grow taller around one side of rocks?
Post by: jimmy neutron on 01/05/2014 11:19:43
Hello!

I'm twelve years old and from south Korea.

While watching the grasses at the park,  I've noticed that plants and grass taller and more on one side of the rock.

Why is this happening?

Thanks!

Is it always the same side, like the south side?

Plants and grass need sunlight to grow. They my not grow so well on the shady side of the rock.

Dogs like to mark their territory by urinating. In small quantities it can act as a fertiliser, encouraging plant growth. In large quantities it can kill plants. Do you get many dogs in this park?
