Title: Methods of Inducing Blindness: Camouflage for the Rest of Us

Are there drugs or other means of blinding a subject?  Like specific chemicals which work directly on the optical sensory organ.  i.e. a halogenated beta-carotene?  Heavy water carotene?

A sharp stick works very well. Or switch the light off.
