I like most of the user information (although some things I was used to seem to be missing), although I feel that better use of fonts, and less garish colours, would make it more readable.

Spell checking is good (ofcourse, what I have not checked yet is whether it spell checks against a British or American dictionary).

Yeah I think that is true for all of us, we are certainly creatures of habit!! This forum should end up with alot less down time and they are working hard on the bugs right now! Our other forum was so unstable that alot of the time you couldn't get on or access the forums or post so this should be much better...Nice to see you back and how are you doing? :))

Incidentally, I do think we could have a better graphic for the button for the forum - that small little house would never amount to a forum - we should at least have a picture of the Colosseum. [:D]

The whole site is being looked at by some web designers - the idea was to change the forum over once the site had been redesigned but as the old one died a death it was rushed ahead, so the aesthetics should be improved in a few weeks. If you guys can cope with some rough edges for a few weeks it will save me redoing everything twice, and colour coordination is definitely not my strong point so it is probably safer to wait for the professionals anyway ;)

Thats cool and I think we can all live with that untill everything is done...  Thanks for all your hard work Dave... we will all get used to it over time... I already love it!  I can't figure out how to get my text bigger so I can read it better! Do we have a choice of different fonts?

I like the crashing less part. I don't like how long it takes to post a reply in this one. Can something be done about that?

Why do you all have fireworks this time of year?

We have fireworks because of this chappy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guy_Fawkes  [;)]

And also because people like to scare dogs with explosions and flashy lights, plus there is the ulitmate challenge to have the biggest firework known to the backyard man  [;)]

Squaddie injures backside launching firework
By Michael Horsnell of The Times

The blue touchpaper was lit and everyone retired immediately, just as the trusted Firework Code recommends.

That is, except for the squaddie recently returned home from a tour of duty in Iraq who thought Bonfire Night needed enlivening.

The soldier was on all fours with his trousers down and a certain part of his anatomy pointing at the stars with a black cat thunderbolt rocket firmly in place.

The stunt, which mimicked a scene in the controversial film Jackass: The Movie, went off with a bang at the end of the display in Sunderland but it backfired on the the intrepid squaddie.
