Title: How is global warming affecting plants?

Here's one for the global warming activists

The bluebells in my garden have started growing already , they haven't flowered yet but the first shoots first started coming up last month 3 months early.

I don't think that this is directly due to global warming but rather an unusual late summer and autumn weather pattern which has caused many spring flowering plants to think that winter has passed and it's spring.  I have several spring flowers notably primroses flowering in my garden at the moment.  I'm afraid the recent weather will have come as rather a shock for them.

They will probably get caught out by frost at sometime. I love the look of them when they come into flower but hate how they take over so much that i end up with patches on the lawn with no grass once they die back.
I also hate the pear tree in my garden and am overjoyed that this year it seems to be failing apart. :)

OOOH Me loves Bluebelles and Pears, But I think you are right about the waether, just fooled them into early bloom thats all! Here too!
