500 steps ˜ 1/4 mile
1000 steps ˜ 1/2 mile
2000 steps ˜ 1 mile
10,000 steps ˜ 5 miles
I just measured with my pedometer...give or take 2% being inaccurate as everyone steps differently...they say 10,000 steps is good for weight loss...you are on your way with 26,000. Good Job!
You maybe over doing it a bit...
Be encouraged!!!

The mile was so named because it had 1000 paces (mille = 1000), but the Romans measured their paces at two of our paces (i.e. from the left footfall to the next left footfall, arther than the left footfall to the right footfall as we do).

They shoud do ...eventually !
When I was in retail.....for the first few weeks my feet and legs ached real bad ! (because I was standing all day)...it took a while..but my legs and feet acclimatised...and I suspect yours will too. If they don't, return them...you may have a faulty pair ! [;)]

Three-wheeled mail delivery
Postmen and postwomen of the future could be swapping their traditional bicycles and vans for a three-wheeled scooter.
The Royal Mail has teamed up with a university design student to build a three-wheeled machine, called "Scootable".
The vehicle could be used by staff delivering post on routes where going by van or on foot would be unsuitable.
The prototype has been unveiled by the Royal Mail.

I suspect users of this vehicle could easily be identified by their asymmetrical legs. [:)]
