Title: Dog !@#$ repellant
Post by: Nick Meyer on 01/02/2007 02:52:44
Obviosly I can't repell the @#$% but heres the situation... I come home from school looking like this > [:)] < i see the dog who looks like this > [^] < then i change to this > [:-\] < on my way to my room, when i get to my room i look like this  > [:(!] < because the dog took a @#$% on my floor and spread around what she didn't EAT. So does anyone have an idea as to how i could keep the little freak from doing this without spraying harsh stuff on my hardwood floor or putting anything up that makes my room harder to get to? Oh yeah... unfortunately the dogs my sisters and has to be alive when im done  [:(].

Welcome Nick...wow...good question...I know you might want to try some moth balls...doggies don't like mothballs as the scent burns their nose and won't go near the spot.

Hey Nick, hows about a small slide chain lock on the outside of your door. Then it will be outof his ability to go in.. The downfall to that would be that perhaps your lovely sister may take a notion to lock you inside the room... This happened in my house as a teenager!! LOL My sister had a slide lock on her door.. for when she left to keep her geecky sisters out of her wardrobe LOL we were to short at the time to reach the lock. It may work for you!

I wouldn't expose myself to mothballs.

My dogs only go in the house if they've been confined too long or if they are upset for some reason.

Does the dog need more frequent trips outside? Does she not feel good about you, or living with you? Does she miss your sister?

There are five people living in this house and it is a rare occurance that no one is here for longer that 2 hours. My sister is home before 7 am and after 5 pm. The dog does get mad alot at the littlest things, like if you wont let her sit on your lap while your on the computer. But she doesnt have a problem with anyone of us.

Nick....so...who takes the dog for walkies ?

..and why can't you just keep the door to your room closed ?

Nick - I have come to the conclusion that some dogs will NEVER behave.  I have to keep all of our bedroom doors closed during the day, especially my son Nics room.  His sisters dog will poop or pee in his room every chance he gets. I've spent hours steam cleaning the carpets. I'm with these little beasts 24/7 and they are taken out numerous times a day.  If you figure out how to stop him, let me know.  Good luck.

I'm concerned about the dog !!..is it getting walked ? is it getting loved....?

It could be manic household with 5 people coming and going...very unsettling for a nervous doggy !...especially if it gets berated for trying to sit on a lap too !!... (I am not saying you do berate the doggy by the way Nic..but you say it does get upset when not allowed to...so..I am assuming a raise in voice is used to dissuade the dog for giving lap luff)

I'm sorry ...but to me this sounds like an unhappy doggy !!
