Wow Thats a bit scarry, even though they say they think they will be able to keep it from posing a threat to the people over there.

Wow how far is suffolk from London, or is it a suburb or on the outskirts or what?

I do see it is on the coast but how far from london?

It would take more than a few hours for a turkey from Suffolk to get to London, I would think. It would depend on whether or not someone gave it a lift and what they were driving, though. Do turkeys fly?

They can fly, but I have never seen one fly more then a bout 50 6o ft if that! My friend used to raise them.. I really don't know if they fly farther or higher.. I suspect so! That must be because they were dometicated..that they did not go far.. I do know they also clipped their wings too....


Can turkeys fly? Taken from net ( Premium brand honey suckle white)
 
Domesticated turkeys can't, but wild turkeys can fly up to 55 mph for short distances. They're also fast on their feet, hitting land speeds of up to 25 mph.
