I always get really ill after a few days of excercise - latest was a severe bladder infection or a severe cold or sore throat or tummy bug - I have been testing this over three years and have noticed it over and over. It has almost become a joke.

I would seriously recommend that you visit a physician about this. While I'm not qualified to diagnose your problem, it may be related to a blood disorder. As a child, I experienced similar reactions to exercise and was eventually diagnosed with iron deficiency anemia. A blood disorder indicated by a low iron content. Thankfully, I was treated with iron supplements and as I grew older, eventually overcame the problem.

As Ethos says, it is essential to see your doctor.
You don't say how intense this exercise is. Heavy exercise after a long time with none can affect the immune system, so it's important to build up slowly.
It could also be that you have a low grade bladder infection and the combination of exercise and dehydration takes it to a noticable level.

Some people think that strenuous exercise is good for your heart. If you drive your car faster, will it last longer?
Seriously, though, where did you take this exercise? A gym full of sweaty strangers isn't a healthy place to be, unless you are a respiratory bacterium.
