Title: A change in ecosystem organisation between Ordovician and Silurian sea bed?
Post by: Elizabeth on 13/03/2016 20:55:28
Hi everyone, new here and I could really use some help or advice!?

I'm working on a project for my Taxonomy Masters on the Ordovician extinction and I need to analyse samples of fossil sea bed to see if there is change in ecological organisation between the Ordovician samples and the Silurian samples.

I have recorded the fossils as major groups (brachiopods, trilobites etc) and the minimum number of individuals for each group. What would be the best way to work out if there has been a change between the time periods based on the ecology, bearing in mind I don't have accurate genus or family IDs?

Anything you have to say on the subject will be appreciated!

Thanks!
