Hello Naked Scientist, I follow your show (http://www.thenakedscientists.com/HTML/podcasts/) for years and absolutely love it.
Here is a question about space (navigation). How is the axis, the longitude and latitude defined in space? For terrestrial orbits the earth's turning axis is used, for moving around the solar system possibly the sun (?). But what about east and west? Is the Greenwich 0 longitude extended into space. What abut a space equator? if one sees maps of the microwave background they are in relation the earth coordinates. Or is there a sun or milky way based definition? I think there should be...
