I received this email:
Please I'd like to know from you if an anal fissure is permanently curable? I keep getting a recurrence, especially when my stooling is hard. I also constantly experience an itching of my anal ring. I always use a combination of analgesic tablets and remicane gel, which takes care of it, only a while later then it re-occurs.
My doctor once recommended surgery but I am not really keen on surgery. Is there an alternative way out, or I just have to live with the condition and continue with the above application of analgesic and remicaine?
I look forward to read from you.
Thank You.
Ify.

Botox is a reversible treatment option, (but surgery is more likely to be successful) ...

Maybe eat lots of fibrous vegetables and drink lots of water?
This might help reduce the hard stool trigger?
