lfavero asks:
Who discovered the neutrino?
What do you think?
-
Wolfgang Pauli suggested the neutrino in 1930 to explain some missing energy in beta decay of radioactive elements; he originally called it a "neutron", but that name was used for another particle, so Fermi's proposed particle was renamed the "neutrino".
But it wasn't discovered experimentally until 1956.
It is still not known whether neutrinos are the same or different from anti-neutrinos.

I bet physics will change fast and we'll have some info on what neutrins are made off.
