Title: Equations and bridges
Post by: aetzbar on 03/11/2017 08:07:05
Equations and bridges
Mathematics has equations of abstract quantities, such as 7 + 4 = 11
In geometry there are bridges like length * length ~ space
(Length and area are not the same, and need a bridge ~ to move from the amount of length to the amount of space.
Physics also has bridges
This sign =, is found only in mathematics, and this sign ~ in geometry and physics
This sign belongs to continuous quantitative things, such as length, area, volume, time, and energy.
= And ~ are completely different signs

Energy isn't continuous, it's quantised.
