Title: Feedback on Fidget Spinners in Space
Post by: katieHaylor on 18/12/2017 16:28:03
Richard had this to say about the episode: Fidget Spinners in Space?  (https://www.thenakedscientists.com/podcasts/naked-scientists-podcast/fidget-spinners-space)

I take issue with your answer about how long a fidget spinner will spin in space. Your expert forgot to take into account that air is a lubricant for the bearings. Without air that standard bearing will have more friction and will  slow down faster than the one in the ISS and wear out faster.  Bearings in space is an interesting topic if you would like to take another view.
