Title: What are they pictures scattered between the text

On many posts I find tiny crosses marking pictures I can find the dimension's of the pictures but nothing I do will resolve them I am using windows 10 1709 fully updated and have many other types of picture display software

Those are placeholders for the pictures, and often they can display some alternative text if the picture is unavailable.

Could there be a security setting in your browser or firewall which is blocking download of the images? Perhaps because it considers them undesirable advertising?

Or could your browser be unable to allocate the memory it needs to display them? Try clearing the browser cache, and restarting your computer. Then start the browser first.

I tried both Chrome and Firefox both showed the missing pictures but the were only adverts and both these browsers were much inferior to IEII and edge in many ways.
