Title: How good are we at building synthetic ribosomes?

I know that synthetic ribosomes have been created. What use could they be put to? Would this advance medicine in beneficial ways?

Have you got a reference for the creation of these synthetic ribosomes? I'd like to give it a read so I can form and opinion.
