Title: Guilt at surpasing our parents
Post by: PmbPhy on 16/03/2018 14:20:36
I'm sure that many people have experienced this but nobody talks about it.

I recall one day when I was a teenager when my dad was angry with me. I must have pissed him off because he was going to cuff me upside the head for doing something, which I'm sure I deserved. He never ever ever abused me or hurt me but he did instill fear in me with the threat of being on the loosing side of his belt. But when he try to cuff me I caught his hand and was able to prevent him from doing it. I was stronger and more agile than he at that time. I would have thought it'd be cool to finally not worry about getting smacked but the opposite was true - I felt a great deal of guilt. Its like that episode of Frasier when Frasier finally beat his dad at chess. After a few minutes he told his dad he was sorry. Lol!!

Weird, huh?

Any stories you'd like to share about similar events to mine and Frazers?

Question - When I double click on a word in MS applications it usually selects the word so I can copy it. Not so here. Why?
