NASA announced this week that their Curiosity Rover, which has been trundling around on the surface of Mars for about 6 years, has uncovered the best evidence yet of a home for early Martian life.

The methane levels on Mars (~0.5 ppb) are only a thousandth of those on stone-age Earth.
