Title: Has the Indian government biometricised one billion Indians?

How can it be, one billion Indians are biometrically submitted into government software, via face and finger prints? They no longer take cash. One US lady was stranded there with cash. A Christian man refused the system but lost his court battle.

Can this lead to a surveillance state? Sign of a weak democracy?
