Title: Is there such a thing as a "new theory" without "physics first"?

I'm not being cynical, yet why would a physicist post in this "new theory" section?

I think its one of the reasons I decided not to formalise my education with a degree in physics.....it would have been very hard to flout new ideas without being chastised so harshly as not to be able to post somewhere like here.....to have that freedom. For those passionate enough to understand what is available to their senses, a formal education can be done independently...it can be expensive though  ;) The fear of insulting "brethren" though is reduced, as its a solo path. Yet, the ability to go beyond stigmas decisive.
