Which of you believe in the Big Crunch of an Infinite universe.
Hopefully it'll be a Big Crunch.
-
In MY opinion.......I think it will just expand to become a vast dilution of nothingness.....eventually !!
Why do ewe hope for a big crunch ?
-
Thats bleak.
Hopefully, if there is a big crunch, then there will be another big bang and millions of more universes forever. Then there could always be something, instead of it going on until it reaches absolute zero where existence is pretty much over.

Why do you think that an expanding and fading universe precludes any other universe. After all our universe has created millions of long lived seperate universes in the form of black holes by having big crunches in a slightly smaller scale however insde a black hole the space looks infinite just like our universe.
If as the particle theoreticians and cosmologists suggest and quantum theory appears to confirm space time has many more dimensions than we are aware of some of them are large and some very small a universe can be simultaneously very large and very small in a fractal and scale free sort of way. This sounds much more sensible to me.

Why would the universe just, "crunch" anyway? WHat's going to stop it from going like an Energizer bunny? Nothings beyond the edge of the universe, though thats somewhat of a paradox, so nothing can stop it.
