If spacetime initiated at a spot in a pre-existing dimension, we could say galaxies are spreading apart at the same rate spacetime is expanding to claim more physical objects in the infinite dimension of QM waves. When waves are found with a certain amount of information (size), they are swapped to physical objects. So the fabric of spacetime is stretching between galaxies, no need for mystical dark energy. You would think this would upset gravity. but apparently it doesn't.

I'm saying spacetime stretches in regions that are only QM waves to make up for newly discovered real-estate at the edges of the spacetime universe.

Or, if we accept spacetime started as a singularity in a pre-existing dimension, it could be that spacetime is only active in areas of large objects. These galaxy clumps of spacetime simply float away from each other when spacetime isn't involved in empty space.

If spacetime assigns gravity, then empty space doesn't have it ..so those regions would not have gravity wells. Empty space is like anti-gravity because it's pushing the fabric higher causing the gravity-wells/spacetime clumps to coast away from each other. BOOM!

Try this on:
The edge of the universe is likely a sphere that keeps expanding like a balloon. I propose that gravity wells of galaxies all move towards the edge of the sphere that they are closest to. This implies the sphere edge is something that pulls gravity wells towards it. It also says the sphere edge is likely the black hole we arrived in with enough gravitational force to pull galaxies towards it.

If we are not in a black hole, then spacetime is densest at the center of the universe causing gravity wells to flow to the outer sphere edge.
