Can starlink satellites convince flat earthers that earth isn't flat?

The large number of planned satellites have been met with criticism from the astronomical community.[115][116][117] Astronomers claim that the number of visible satellites will outnumber visible stars, and that their brightness in both optical and radio wavelengths will severely impact scientific observations.

I found from one of their channel that they demand an evidence that they can confirm by themselves, without requiring them to ask someone else, nor going too far from their hometown. This is what the satellites provide.

No! You have to believe that the same satellite has gone round the back and reappeared. But it never reappears in the same place, so why should I believe it's the same satellite?  My TV aerial points at a geostationary satellite, so I know it's the same one (the signal doesn't change) and it is fixed in God's Firmament. Now that's what I call evidence of the obvious.

If your intellectual horizon is limited to your own back yard, the earth is indeed "flat enough for engineering purposes". The only unanswered question is "who feeds the turtles that support it? "

The ballistic tables calculated by ENIAC assumed that the missiles moved in a parabolic path as they do over a flat Earth if the Americans say the earth is flat who am I to argue

The flat-Earth society is a global movement  ;)
they could ask the Australian-branch to provide a photo of the moon.

At least, with starlink satellites filling up the night sky, visible by naked eyes, and significantly change from its natural view, the flat earthers would be forced to rethink their positions. Especially when they have access to the new internet connections provided by the satellites, which is previously unavailable. Furthermore, SpaceX is a private company, thus no reason for them to spend their resources covering things up from public using conspiracion theory.

I doubt they will do more than rethink their arguments and extend them to cover the new situation. Part of the ‘game’ is thinking up counter arguments, which although they wouldn’t convince most people, only have to convince a deluded few.

The only unanswered question is "who feeds the turtles that support it? "
They breathe interstellar hydrogen and photosynthesise + photovoltaic skin. Easypeasy!
The elephants? Now that’s a tricky one!

Photovoltaics won't work because they are always in the shadow of the earth.

You can't "rethink" if you never thought in the first place.

They will probably point to Glomar Explorer, a private enterprise supposedly looking for seabed minerals, but in fact a CIA funded search for a sunken soviet sub.

Photovoltaics won't work because they are always in the shadow of the earth.
I thought the Great A'Tuin performed barrel rolls while orbiting the sun, thus exposing the photo sensitive underbelly for half a local day.

What would they think when they see this with their naked eyes? Especially each time a new batch of satellites is launched?

I've seen Christmas lights hung from poles. These "satellites" are just hung from very long poles.

I think the great circle distance to impact is the same whether you model it as a sphere with centripetal gravity or a plane with perpendicular gravity, but the plane is easier to program.

If you type ‘flat Earth’ into Google, you’d be joining a group of people that have helped to triple the search term over the last couple of years. In fact, a recent YouGov poll found that only around two-thirds of Americans aged between 18 and 24 believe that the Earth is round.

Although the idea the Earth is flat has been scientifically discredited, there seems to be a growing belief in the conspiracy theory.

And it’s getting more traction than some of the other conspiracies out there, like chemtrails (which proposes that a plane’s long-lasting condensation trail is actually made up of chemical or biological agent).

Interest in most of these other far-fetched theories remains stable but the flat-Earth movement is growing, particularly in America. And it has some high-profile supporters.

From basketball players to musicians, rappers to TV hosts, a number of celebrities are jumping on the flat Earth bandwagon.

So what’s causing a renewed interest in something that’s been scientifically disproven for the past two thousand years or more? What does it say about social media? And how did we actually establish that the world is round in the first place?

Anyone with a telescope and camera can see this for themself.

17 30-second images of the comet added up by @cielodecanarias , completely photobombed by @elonmusk's #Starlink satellites.
It's a few hundreds of them right now, there will be a few thousands in the near future.
@SpaceX  is committed to coating orienting them better but still....
