Esteban came to us with a theory...
Is there a connection between the origin of our moon, if it was formed from a collision with earth, and the later formation of Pangaea? And if it would be possible that our moon impacted in the area known today as the pacific ocean, creating a bulge on the opposite side?
Any thoughts?

In the thirties it was suggested that the materiel from which the moon was formed came from the area occupied by the pacific ocean, I don't think that idea has any support today .

Pangaea Is just the most recent of the Super-continents to have formed, and only dates back to a couple hundred million years ago, vs the collision that formed our Moon which took place billions of years ago.
Besides, continents aren't caused by the surface "bulging", but by the fact that continental crust is less dense and thicker than oceanic crust and "floats" higher on the mantle.
