Title: I'm a freelance hairdresser - am I safer cutting at home or at a client's house?

Kimberly sent us this question:

I'm a freelance hairdresser who visits clients in their home. While coronavirus is still around us, and when we are able to return to work wearing masks and protective clothing etc., would I be at greater risk of infection going into a house to do a client who lives with a family, compared to the client coming to me while my house is empty? I was thinking I can control sanitising etc. on a one to one basis?

My husband feels I will be inviting infection into our house, but I feel I'm at a greater risk going into an environment I haven't sanitised. Obviously I'm not going to resume my work until the government guidelines allow me to.

What do people think?

Better the devil you know, if you can confine the work to one room - preferably a garage or shed - that isn't used for any other family activity.

There's someone round these parts who has converted an old ambulance into a mobile hairdressers.
