Hello. My son and myself are looking for some help. I was cleaning out a kitchen cupboard at the weekend when I picked up a never used glass that had been in there for 2+ years. At first I thought the glass was engraved but on closer inspection it appears to be a trail from an unknown creature - the same random pattern something like a snail would leave. I've tried my best to show this on the pictures. If you look closely, you can see where it appears to have stopped and there is a pale shaped 'dot' which I assume is the culprit. We are both intrigued if anyone can let us know please?

David, I think you are close with snail, I would say very small slug. We occasionally get these on a car and it usually looks as though the surface has been cleaned, but no sign of a slime trail.
