Hello
In a solution that a reaction will take place and produce an acid, how can I calculate the needed buffer salt mass to be added to maintain the pH?
I know the pH needed and the final acid concentration and pKa.
I also know the buffer salt pKa.
How can I find out the optimal salt concentration?
Thanks

What pH do you need to maintain, and how narrow of a range do you need to maintain? And how similar is the pH to the pKa of your buffer? And how far away is the acid pKa?

pH needs to be 7.2-7.6
buffer is di-Sodium hydrogen phosphate dihydrate with pKa1=2.1 pKa2=7.2 pKa3=12.6
Acid pKa=3.6
What would be the output of these?
