Yes.

When Moh developed his hardness scale for rocks, he used similar proportions between successive steps of his scale.
- But he had nothing in hardness between carborundum (9 on his scale) and diamond, so he gave diamond the next number (10).
- In fact, diamond is far harder than carborundum, and deserves a hardness number somewhere around 20.

Hi, I also heard that they are super strong but they have one drawback they are fragile as I know.
