We received this question from listener Robert:
I have noticed for a long time that there is a difference in smell between different milks stored in plastic bottles. There can be a smell off non-organic milk in plastic bottles when the milk gets down to half full in the container, that is usually not there with organic milk.
Is this due to the milk itself or interaction with the plastic? Is there a risk of some kind? Should we be going back to glass?

I can remember when milk was brought run in large metal drums and transferred to your container via measuring jugs.
I much prefer the modern way were its sold in clean plastic containers.

It is probably because of different feed. I've noticed that some organic milk smells grassier or more like soil.

Reminded me of this.
