Swallows have built this nest in 1 of our stables. We've been watching them build it & now it's finished. From what we can see, there's 1 egg in there. I'll try to get a photo of them & post it here.
My question is, how do they get the nest to stick to the rafters like that? Is swallow spit sticky?

perhaps they went to the nest depot and bought some nest cement?

It is usually mud.. I love barn swallows thy are dare devils to be sure and real protective over those young! So cool!
