While hiking on the North Shore of Long Island, New York I came across this small stone by noticing shimmering silver colored flakes in bedded in it. Can anyone help in identifying this stone? I hope these photos help. Thanks,

Hard to tell from just the pics, but I'm pretty sure that the silver flakes are mica. The dark crystals could also potentially be garnet (again, it's hard to tell but based on the color, shape, and the other minerals present.)
