Title: Anyone on this forum the ideal weight?
Post by: Pseudoscience-is-malarkey on 08/08/2021 03:09:20
I would be my ideal weight if I was two inches taller. But does anyone here actually have zero extra body fat?

Hi.

    The boxing competition doesn't start for another few weeks yet.  Don't worry too much about hitting the weight target right now.
    The Life Sciences section are putting up the "ginger giant" in the Light weight class.  He's old now, just keep him moving for a couple of rounds and he'll be all puffed out.
Best Wishes.

I don't know about zero fat we need some fat to keep us warm and provide energy a good way to tell is to get in a pool and if you can float vertically with your nose out of the water you probably have good fat content.

There are actually some positive aspects of being overweight. Let's admit it: fat people are more jolly and usually have infectious laughs. They also tend to survive when camping trips go wrong in the mountains. They tend to have a better chance of surviving car crashes. Because they have more surface area than their skinny counterparts, their chances of drowning are less. They're almost always better multitaskers due to their penchant for eating and doing everything at the same time.

That's true.

As a complete novice, I once wondered why I had been first choice for a sailing crew. We sailed up the east coast and got stuck in the Essex mud. I was tied to a halyard and pushed over the leeward side, thus releasing the keel. Live ballast has its role.

I liked the big girls when I was young and my girlfriend ruined the springs on my Ford Falcon mostly the rear leaf springs.

I am being dosed up with pills for prostrate cancer and heart failure ( with good results so far) and my weight has fallen to 81 kg, this would give me a BMI of 24 if my height had not fallen from 1.83 cm by 1.5 cm

@syhprum

   Sounds tough.  You make good posts here, Syhprum.  It's all treatable so take the medicine and stay well.

Best Wishes to you.
