Hmm, that is a bit of a generalization, wouldn't you say. It seems likely that no specialist knows everything about a chosen field, and probably knows something about various other fields. Can you defend or expand on your opening post?

It's a poor personalisation of an operative truth:
Specialisation is the business of finding out more and more about less and less until you know almost everything about practically nothing
but most of the specialists in my social orbit know a lot about many other things too.
