I am a fan of the idea that a person does not have free will, or at least it is very limited by genetics, internal biochemical processes, external events, which intertwine, create a network and matrix for human behavior.
-
Don't confuse free will with omnipotence. It's simply the ability to exercise choice without reference to an external body. The dimensionality of your choice may be limited by all sorts of things but as long as you have any choice at all, you have free will.
-
It turns out that humans are preconditioned to believe that we have freewill.

.B No/t really, but/t I am responsible for my choices/actions/self.
Well, who/what else, is there, to blame.
We all have free will till we push it too far and end up in prison and that's where free will is largely reduced. Thankfully.

I have an opinion that is criticized quite often, but I consider that only people make other people not accessible. For example, you cannot always act rationally because of your emotions and feelings. You are controlled by them and overwhelmed. Another example is the novel "A Clockwork Orange" by Anthony Burgess. I found an article source (https://papersowl.com/examples/a-clockwork-orange/) where I read about the central theme of the book in more detail - freedom of choice. The freedom of individuals to make choices becomes problematic when those choices impair the safety and stability of society. I like this writing source with experts because the essay examples I check here appeal to my soul.

We cannot entirely control the behaviour of Others.
But how We react to them is completely our Choice.
Letting Others decide the ambience of our inner self, is giving up control.
Making them Masters, & Us Puppets.
