Peter has been pondering this question for a while and sent it into us to answer.

"Showing that glandular fever (Epstein Barr Virus) causes CVST, are people who have suffered glandular fever more likely to suffer from blood clots and CVST?"

Do you have a reference that states that "glandular fever (Epstein Barr Virus) causes CVST"?

This very rare condition "Cerebral venous sinus thrombosis" has made the news in 2021, as it is a rare side-effect of the Astra-Zeneca COVID vaccine.

However, blood clots are a common side-effect of COVID-19infection, as the virus infects all cells carrying the ACE2 receptor. This includes the lining of all blood vessels - and inflammation of the blood vessels triggers blood clots.

The risk from catching COVID-19 exceeds the risk of vaccine-induced clots*, so statistically, you are safer getting vaccinated.
* At least up to and including Delta strain; its a bit too early to be sure with Omicron
