Title: What are non-meat human foods a domesticated cat will eat?
Post by: Pseudoscience-is-malarkey on 21/01/2022 03:14:58
I've had a few cats in my lifetime and they all most always stuck their nose up at non-meat human food (in fact, pretty much all human food). My first pet - a Maine Coon I unoriginally named Paws - who I rescued when I was a kid did once eat bread, but that was because he was starving. The only non-meat human food my cats would/will eat was/are french fries. My Maine Coon girl Cassie is no exception.

I've seen them eat peanut butter, whipped cream, ice cream and milk. I even once saw a cat eat cantaloupe. I wouldn't reccomend those things as a staple of their diet, of course.

cantaloupe

I knew a rescued cat whose favorite food was cantaloupe! She would demand it (or try to take it) from anyone who dared eat it in her presence...

Quite a lot of cats like cheese. IRC at least one or two cats have liked marmite.
