Title: Is "Electron Transforms Into Neutrino" Erroneous?
Post by: talanum1 on 09/02/2022 19:42:10
The electron does not transform into a neutrino.

e- -> νe + W-

is in error. It should read:

e- + νe + νe -> W- + νe

or Right Side = ud + νe

I don't know where you got the first equation, but electrons don't decay. Even if they did, they couldn't turn into a W- boson, as those are much more massive than electrons. The only way I could see an electron giving rise to a W- boson (other than virtual W- bosons, that is) is in a high energy collision.

Yes, they seem to be another of the OP's errors.
