Title: What goes down..doesnt come up?

Hey, I was having breakfast the other day, and i knew that i eat the food, the food is crushed by my teeth then travels down my throat then into my stomach and it is mixed with acids etc etc, but howcome if i tie myself to a tree, and hang myself upside down like a bat, i dont see my breakfast on the floor? Because thats kinda like defying the laws of gravity..

It's not gravity that propels the food through the gut.
