Title: Can a broken bone in the ear cause vertigo?
Post by: perfessor101 on 12/05/2022 10:19:16
Hello,
I’m searching for a podcast from several years ago about how to manipulate the head in order to move a small broken bone in the inner ear away from the chamber containing the cilia tied to balance to another section where it won’t cause vertigo every time the bone hits the cilia.

Thanks for your time,
Bobby

It sounds like you are referring to an Epley Manoeuvre, which is a sequence of head movements designed to dislodge detritus from the vestibular system. We've discussed it here before; here's the link: https://www.thenakedscientists.com/forum/index.php?topic=47740.0
