Lol very true. the other day i was in a bus. there was a lady with her little baby boy. And when that kid laughed it made your heart happy i swear! An old woman turned arould and said to the mother "i could really just sit here all day and listen to your boy laugh" And i silently agreed lol.
This IS related to science...."What makes your heart happy" or something!

Mine always end up with hic cough's.

mine did too, I think it is because that little flap inside there esophagus the one that keeps your food down,, is not as strong as ours and that laughing really aggravates it and they get the hiccups.. LOL I cant remember what the flap is called or exactly where it is headed to the digestive area somewhere.. LOL

Or perhaps the laughing disrupts the breathing pattern, and the diaphragm becomes "confused"?

Hey, you've put "Hiccups" in the qoute and not "Hic-coughs"

Potato, potato, tomato, tomato, let's call the whole thing off!

(Er, it soesn't work that well when it's typed does it?)

(It's the glottis that shuts after the diaphragm spasms that gives the "hic" noise.)
