My late father gave me what he considered to be sage wisdom. "Marry your best friend, not someone that is good at sex and has a good naked body", he said. "If you do the latter", he continued, "you'll get bored of her."

Also, what exactly is "true love"? Perhaps largely invented by French troubadours?

The only reason to get married is to make a public statement that you have both found a partner with whom you want to share the rest of your life, exclusively. Anything else is just friendship or business.
