Did Shakespeare write any novels?
He wrote a GREAT novel called The Dictionary. The protagonist is Inspector Tom Dictionary who solves a series of murders. Spoiler: The Zebra did it.

Standard Shakespeare plot line. If it begins with a wedding, it will end with a funeral, and vice versa. There will be someone in disguise (comic travesty) or a ghost (tragic history). Some miserable editor will cut out all the good bits and the puns will baffle a modern audience.
