It is dispiriting for any professional to have his judgement doubted by the customer but almost certainly less of a problem for physicians, who routinely seek second opinions from radiologists, pathologists, or other clinical specialists.

In life-critical science and engineering, getting an independent inspection of your calculations and products  is entirely normal outside of the Boeing Corporation.

And whose body is it anyway?
